KASHMIR (THE PARADISE ON EARTH)

            


           “Agar firdaus bar roo-e zameen ast, 

          Hameen ast-o hameen ast-o hameen ast”.

    

 

                             "Amir Khusrov" one of the greatest poets  has written this cuplet in Persian language and was repeated by Mughal emperor "Jahangir" when he saw the beauty of kashmir.

The meaning of the cuplet is as follows:

                        “Agar firdaus bar roo-e zameen ast,

                        “If there is a paradise on earth  

                        Hameen ast-o hameen ast-o hameen ast”.                    

                        It is this, it is this, it is this”.

kashmir is not popular for its beauty but a particular thing also that is kashmiri culture. Not only beauty and culture also people are awesome. kashmiri people call kashmir as (Reshi waer) that is the land of sufi saints ..we will talk about all the things i have mentioned that is:

             The culture of Kashmir is a diverse blend and highly influenced by Indian, Persian as well as Central Asian cultures. Kashmiri culture is heavily influenced by Hinduism, Buddhism and later by Islam. Dominated by Hindu-Buddhist culture in the past, Kashmir was heavily influenced by Islam after Muslim  

            Rice is the staple food of Kashmiris and has been so since ancient times. Meat, along with rice, is the most popular food item in Kashmir. Kashmiris consume meat voraciously.

        The Vedic art and culture grew in Kashmir, and some early Vedic hymns were composed in Kashmir.The Bharata Natya Shastra is notable as an ancient encyclopedic treatise on the arts one which has influenced dance, music and literary traditions in Indian culture, originated in Kashmir.

            Kashmiri (English: /kæʃˈmɪəri/)or Koshur (English: /kɜːʃur/; कॉशुर, كٲشُر),[17] is a language from the Dardic subgroup of Indo-Aryan languages, spoken by around 7 million Kashmiris, primarily in the Indian territory of Jammu and Kashmir. There are also speakers in parts of the neighbouring Pakistani territory of Azad Kashmir

                Kashmiris are a Dardic ethnic group native to the Kashmir Valley who are primarily located in Jammu and Kashmir. The Kashmiri language, which is classified as a part of the Dardic branch of the greater Indo-Aryan languages, serves as the ethnic group's native language.

        Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani (Persian: میر سید علی همدانی‎‎ 1314–1384)



 

 was a Persian Sūfī of the Kubrawiya order, a poet and a Muslim scholar. He was born in Hamadan, and was buried in Khatlan Tajikistan. He was known as Shāh-e-Hamadān ("King of Hamadān"), Amīr-i Kabīr ("the Great Commander"), and Ali Sani ("second Ali").

Dastgeer Sahib 



 

 is a Sufi shrine located in Khanyar, Srinagar,

Dastgeer Sahib is a 200-year-old shrine situated in Khanyar. Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Jelani never stayed there. It has the old Quran written by Ali Ibn Abi Talib A.S, and the relic which is locally called Mouia Pak, a hair strand of Abdul Qadir Gilani. It was constructed in 1806 and expanded in 1877 by Khwaja Sanaullah Shawl.[1]

It is the center of the activity hub of the Khanyar and is surrounded by a large market. On the Urs or birth date of the Abdul Qadir Gilani(R.A), thousands of people from all over Kashmir go there to pray to Allah and watch the ziyarat.

There are five graves situated inside it. It is said that it is of the one of the students of Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Jelani.
